At the Movies...
If there's anything that can pry me away from doing nothing, it's watching a fantastic movie. Up until a few days ago, my favorite movie had been Saving Private Ryan. The raw cinematography was amazing. Who could forget the impact of that opening sequence of the American troops making their landing on D-day. It was especially interesting to see the reactions of the many gray-haired veterans sitting in the theatre. It's still one of my favorite movies, though I have to admit I can no longer call it my favorite.
Not since 12:01 A.M on December 19, 2001. That was the day a little known trilogy got kick-started. You might have heard of it...hehe. When I first heard about the project I was very excited to see what could be done with today's technology. It's one of the few times where the hype was exceeded by the product itself. I'm enamored with these movies. I just love them. I have the theatrical cuts on DVD as well as the Amazing Extended Editions (and yes, I've watched all the documentaries and heard the commentaries... what can I say, I'm a geek).
Anyway, I like many other movies but I thought those two deserved special recognition. This page is mostly serving as a hub for links about general movie info, things like upcoming releases, rumor's about projects, etc. Like, did you know they're making Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? Yep, Johnny Depp will be playing 'Willy Wonka', and it's being directed by Tim Burton... should be interesting. I also have many links for my favorite bands. Anyway, I hope you find something you like. I hope to keep updating this page as I find more stuff to include here.
